In the golden dunes of Auvre, beneath the blazing sun and among the gleaming brass temples, lives a revered species known as the Sun-Throated Drakes: sacred, intelligent descendants of common bearded dragons, shaped over centuries by the divine radiance of Solanthé.

These creatures are not merely animals. To the Church of the Lighted Path they are living prayers: scaled, sun-warmed, and burning with reflected faith. They exist in three size classes, from the great Temple Guardians that stand watch over brass sanctums, to the small Brasklings that priests keep on gilded perches, and it is this smallest form that has, in recent years, begun appearing beyond the borders of Auvre.
